Requires a minimum of a High-School Diploma, on-the-job training, and a CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician) Certificate. Applicants must display high-level of knowledge in telecommunications; specifically specializing in, prepping both high and low fiber count cables, fusion splicing single and ribbon fiber cables, and have a mastery in the machines that are used to splice them. Technicians must also be able to document the work that they complete, using a mobile device to take pictures, notate fibers splices, and other work that was completed at each location. Our technicians have the privilege of seeing their work all the way to the finish; they are an active part of the testing and documentation process, therefore must have an understanding of OTDR testing methods, the range of acceptable splice loss levels, and general troubleshooting of fiber optic cables. Fiber Optic Testing & Network Documentation Technician in Tampa & Orlando Markets

Requires a minimum of one year experience: OTDR Testing with EXFO machine, viewing and extracting testing data from FastReporter. Testing technicians must be able to review traces, identify splice points where high levels of loss has occurred, and coordinate with the splicing technicians on-hand to remedy the issue, and repair the splices if needed. Testing personnel must be able to prepare final testing results with a high-level of quality and integrity.

Inside Wiring Cable Placement Technician in Orlando Market

Requires a minimum of a High-School Diploma, on-the-job training, and must be familiar with structure cabling. Technicians must be familiar with Cat 5, Cat 6, and copper terminations, have a basic understanding of fiber optic cables/concepts, phone systems, and other cabling systems that might be present on the projects that we do work on. Technicians will be required to verify pathways, construct and install ladder racks, conduit, and other methods of managing cable throughout the entire project. Requires a year of general construction experience, a High-School Diploma, further on-the-job training. Technicians must be familiar with identifying locates, have a basic understanding of underground pathways (including verifying, and following the planned path), and must follow all safety regulations put in place by upper management and our clients.
